1) How do I know what size dog collar to choose?

Dog Collars are essential to keeping your dog safe during walks, runs or other outdoor activities!  Ranch Hand makes choosing the right sized collar very easy by sizing our dog collars based on the hole length instead of the overall length. This takes the guess work out of which collar works for your dog!

Here is Ranch Hand’s recommendations for measuring your dog’s neck and which size will fit:

Step 1 ) Measure your dog’s neck with a string, then lay the string out next to a ruler or measuring tape

 Step 2) Match your dog’s neck measurement to the below dog collar sizing chart below.

X Small – 8 – 11 inches  (shortest to longest holes)

Small  – 13 – 17 inches (shortest to longest holes)

Medium – 18- 22 inches (shortest to longest holes)

Large – 20– 25 inches (shortest to longest holes)

X Large – 20– 27 inches (shortest to longest holes)

2) Can I return my collar if it doesn’t fit?

We offer a Happy Dog guarantee at Ranch Hand! But it is very important that you follow our measurement guidelines before purchasing your next collar for your doggo so we can get the right size the first time. Ranch Hand is happy to offer a replacement collar within 14 days  of purchase. Please return the original collar in its unused state and we will issue a replacement collar with the correct size.   We do not refund our shipping charges and  Sale items are final sale. 3) How do I clean my leather product from Ranch Hand?

Ranch Hand’s dog collars are low-maintenance and easy to use. They are built to be used and made to last. To ensure long-term durability it is never a bad idea to condition your leather dog collar periodically. When leather is exposed to the elements it can become worn down and dry over time, to prevent this Ranch Hand recommends conditioning your leather products from time to time. This is true for headstalls and dog collars. There are tons of great cleaning and conditioning products for leather. There are some great options that are non-toxic, cost effective and work great on a variety of leather products. Visit our Leather Care page for more instructions.

4) Why won’t my promo code work?

Promo codes cannot we used in conjunction with other sales or discounts and can only be applied to regular priced items. Sometimes, technology is not your friend- if you’re still having trouble please reach out!  Please feel free to contact us!

5) When will my order ship?

After your order is placed, you will receive an order indicting that your order is placed.  Please allow 1-4 business days for order processing and then you will receive an email indicating your order is on its way! We try our best to ship to you as fast as possible!

6) What kind of leather is used?

We use two kinds of full grain leather – cow hide and buffalo hide. All of our dog collars are made with cowhide leather ad our headstalls are made with either buffalo hide or cow hide. The leather is tanned by the process of vegetable tanning. But, you can rest assured all of our leather is genuine full grain. Full Grain leather is the strongest and most durable leather. It has slight imperfections that give it character and you can feel and see a grain to it. It also lasts longer and is resistant to wear and tear.

Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy

Ranch Hand takes pride in our products and we want you to have a great experience working with our company.

If a purchase is made on a regular priced item in stock item that has not been shipped, Ranch Hand is happy to cancel your order for a full refund.

Ranch Hand is happy to offer store credit for the value of the item purchased (excluding shipping charges) or an item exchange.

All returns / exchanges must be made within two weeks of purchase date. Items must be in new, unused condition and retain the original tags. Buyers are responsible for any return shipping and new shipping charges. The buyer is responsible for the exchanged goods until the items reach us. Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you and issue your credit / exchange / refund.

Sale items are final sale. Promo codes cannot be applied to items that are already discounted or on sale.

Unfortunately, personalized/custom orders can’t be exchanged or returned. Once an order is placed, we start the fulfillment process and changes/cancellations cannot be made on custom orders.
