I’m Jesse Romo, the proud owner and operator of Ranch Hand Store. I feel incredibly lucky to call Alberta, Canada, home, where my family and I run a cattle operation, raise horses, and live that good ol’ ranch life. My husband, Joey, is from sunny Arizona, so we split our time between the wide-open spaces of Alberta and the desert heat of Arizona – the best of both worlds, right?
A little bit about me: business has always been in my blood, thanks to my parents, who have always been self-employed. And of course, I’ve always had a love for horses and dogs – that goes without saying. So, my passion trifecta looks something like this:

With those three loves driving me, it was no surprise to anyone when I decided to dive into selling horse tack and dog collars. And let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride, but now, here we are—Ranch Hand Store in full swing!
Anyone who knows me will tell you one thing: I hate paying full price for anything. Like, why spend more when you don’t have to, right? But I also won’t settle for anything less than top-notch quality. That’s how Ranch Hand came to life. We’re all about bringing you the best of both worlds—high-quality gear without the fancy price tags. That’s basically my motto:
“Champagne quality on a team roper budget.”
At Ranch Hand, we’re all about the good stuff at prices that don’t make you wince. And trust me, I get it. If you’ve got horses, dogs, or any animals, you know they aren’t cheap! Vet bills, farriers, hay, fuel, entry fees, horse chiropractors (yes, that’s a thing!)—the list is never-ending. So the last thing you want is to blow a ton of cash on a headstall or dog collar. We feel the same way! That’s why we’ve made it our mission to give you quality products that won’t break the bank.

Oh, and a little more about our life: when we’re not at the store, my husband Joey and I are busy running Mosquito Creek Horses and Productions, where we train performance and rope horses, and throw some good ol’ team roping jackpots. It’s busy, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Joey’s from Arizona, and between our time in the Alberta hills and the Arizona desert, we’re always on the move. But one thing that doesn’t change is our commitment to providing you with gear that’s built to last.
So, that’s a little bit about me and Ranch Hand Store. We’re a small business with a big heart, and we aim to treat every customer like a friend. We love connecting with like-minded folks who appreciate high-quality horse tack and dog collars at fair prices. After all, we’re all in this together, trying to get the best for our animals without emptying our wallets.
